The Kelmarsh Country Show takes place this Easter Bank Holiday over the 1st & 2nd April, and as well as plenty of family inspired fun and entertainment in store, the countryside event also brings with it the first two rounds in the hugely anticipated Chudleys Gundog Championship.
Competitors and spectators can look forward to a return of popular favourites including Up ‘n’ Over, Long Retrieve, Short Fence, Partridge Pen, Pick ‘n’ Mix as well as the Working Test, where gundogs will be put through a series of challenging trials and will get to showcase their incredible level of skill and aptitude as they complete each task. Champions from this year’s Kelmarsh Country Show will then go head to head with other finalists at the Midland Game Fair’s Grand Final in September, with the titleholder awarded with £2,000 cash, an engraved trophy and rosette.
The first two rounds of the Gundog Championship will take place at Kelmarsh over 1st and 2nd April. To get involved in all of the action this year, just turn up and sign up, it really is that simple! Re-entries are also permitted in the gundog events this year, so don’t worry if you get the odd slow time as you can always have another go!
